The F-250 is the entry point into the Super Duty lineup and the most popular model. Available as a Regular Cab, SuperCab, and SuperCrew with 6.75′ and 8′ bed options, the F-250 handles serious towing and payload for contractors, ranchers, and work truck buyers who need more than an F-150 can offer. Max tow rating: up to 22,800 lbs with the 6.7L Power Stroke® diesel.
The F-350 steps up with a higher GVWR and greater payload capacity than the F-250, making it the preferred choice for fifth-wheel and gooseneck trailer operators, horse trailer haulers, and heavy-duty construction crews. The F-350 also opens the door to the dual rear wheel (DRW) configuration for maximum stability under load. Max tow rating: up to 38,000 lbs on the F-350 DRW with diesel.
The F-450 is the highest-rated pickup chassis in the Super Duty lineup, built for heavy vocational use. The 6.7L Power Stroke® diesel delivers maximum torque (up to 1,200 lb-ft on the High Output version), the highest tow ratings in the lineup, and better efficiency on long hauls — the preferred choice for buyers who tow heavy regularly or drive high mileage. The 7.3L V8 gas engine is the strongest naturally aspirated gas option at 430 hp and 485 lb-ft, with lower upfront cost and simpler maintenance. The 6.8L V8 gas is the standard engine on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims at 405 hp and 445 lb-ft — a solid choice for buyers who don’t need diesel or the larger 7.3L.
